ABŞ Prezidenti Donald Tramp Rusiyada həbsdə saxlanılan 74 yaşlı amerikalı müəllim Stiven Habbardın azadlığa buraxılmasını Rusiya Prezidenti Vladimir Putindən istədiyini bildirib.
Tramp bu barədə oktyabrın 20-də jurnalistlərin suallarını cavablandırarkən danışıb.
“Mən ondan Habbardı azadlığa buraxmasını xahiş etdim. Onun geri qayıtmasını istəyirəm”, – deyə Tramp bildirib.
ABŞ Prezidenti Habbardın azadlığa buraxılması ilə bağlı yaxın günlərdə yenilik ola biləcəyinə də işarə edib.
Oktyabrın 20-də Trampın xüsusi nümayəndəsi Stiv Uitkoff Norveçin paytaxtı Osloda Ukrayna Prezidenti Volodimir Zelenski ilə danışıqlar aparıb. Oktyabrın 21-də isə Putinlə görüşmək üçün Rusiyanın Sankt-Peterburq şəhərinə gəlib. Görüşdə Habbardın azadlığa buraxılması məsələsinin də müzakirəsi gözlənilir.
2024-cü ilin oktyabrında Moskva Şəhər Məhkəməsi Stiven Habbardı Ukrayna tərəfində muzdlu döyüşçü kimi hərbi əməliyyatlarda iştirak etməkdə təqsirli bilərək 6 il 10 ay müddətinə azadlıqdan məhrum edib.
Habbardın bacısı Patrisiya Habbard Foks daha əvvəl “Amerikanın səsi”nin rus xidmətinə müsahibəsində qardaşının Ukraynada yaşadığını və ingilis dili müəllimi işlədiyini bildirib.
O, qardaşının təqsirini təzyiq altında etiraf etməyə məcbur edildiyini düşünür.

🇺🇸 Oregon’s latest “DEEPFAKE” scandal just flipped upside down. Literally.
A viral video showed Democrat-backed candidate Nafisa Fai speaking in front of an upside-down American flag.
A local outlet rushed to debunk it, using a screenshot supplied by a campaign supporter showing the flag the right way up.
One small problem: the “proof” turned out to be the doctored image. The outlet had to retract its story.
So the viral video survived the fact-check. The fact-check didn’t.
