Trump: “Both sides, Israel and Iran, are looking to do an immediate CEASEFIRE! Final negotiations on “Peace” are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in its way. The Blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a “Final Deal” is reached. Things should move quickly. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Fresh geopolitical tensions emerge as reports claim the White House is exploring a direct purchase of the Chagos Islands from Mauritius, potentially bypassing the UK to secure long-term control of the strategic Diego Garcia military base.
The move comes amid growing concerns over regional security, Iran-related tensions, and the future of one of America’s most important military outposts in the Indian Ocean. While Britain previously agreed to transfer sovereignty of the Chagos archipelago to Mauritius, the proposal now faces fresh scrutiny as Washington reportedly evaluates alternative options.
Will Trump back a direct US deal for Chagos? What does this mean for the UK, Mauritius, and the balance of power in the Indian Ocean?
