An alternate juror in the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial is speaking out Thursday about the verdict. In an exclusive interview with CNN’s Laura Coates, he said that he probably would have reached the same decision as the other jurors. He also said he saw videotape of the freak offs, which show Combs’ ex, Cassie, and that he said, “It didn’t seem forced.” The music mogul may only spend a couple of years in jail, having been found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother waved to the crowd and his children broke into smiles as they left the federal courthouse in Downtown Manhattan after the stunning verdict. Combs was found not guilty of three of the most serious charges and found guilty on two lesser charges. The jury’s verdict was a resounding rejection of singer Cassie Ventura’s testimony about the freak offs she says she endured for years as Combs’ girlfriend. The jury deliberated for just over 13 hours.
The 12-member jury in the Sean “Diddy” Combs criminal trial ended deliberations for the evening Tuesday after reaching a verdict on four counts facing the rap mogul, but failing to unanimously vote on the fifth. KTLA’s Jennifer McGraw reports on July 1, 2025.
