Once Tehran has a bomb, nobody would dare try to break its grip on the strait, and Rubio isn’t wrong about that.

Pushing Iran into a corner now risks creating the very bomb Washington wants to stop, while Lavrov’s trip to Tehran looks like nothing more than a pulse check:

“I think we’re going to have to learn to live with Iran as it is and not as we want it to be.”
