The captain, in tears on his call with Indian PM Modi: “I feel so proud of myself, sorry for crying in front of you.”
Modi: “If you don’t get emotional in front of me, in front of whom will you?”Open Source Intel (@Osint613)Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian pilot stabbed and seriously wounded during the attack in the cockpit, opened the cockpit door from the inside and shouted for help.
Describing the attack to Prime Minister Modi: “At that moment I was fighting for my life. It was a moment when I realized that if I didn’t act… because I was already wounded, I had many wounds… I had to do something.”
On the critical seconds: “I said to myself at that moment: if I don’t get up… while I was lying on the floor I could feel the plane sinking… the door was right there. Even though I was beaten, I managed to open it.”
He refused to take sole credit: “Everyone took an equal part in this. What I did was to save my life, but at the same time I knew I couldn’t let everyone else die.”— https://x.com/Osint613/status/2105928229710070160

There is a reason this theory keeps coming up. The 22nd Amendment speaks in terms of being elected, and succession is not an election.
