On 26 October Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Shaikha Al Nuwais, Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization, to discuss cooperation and the development of Azerbaijan’s tourism sector.
The meeting focused on government support for tourism, the expansion of modern tourism infrastructure beyond Baku and opportunities to strengthen cooperation with UN Tourism.
Both sides highlighted Azerbaijan as an attractive destination for tourists, emphasising the importance of peace, security and infrastructure development in attracting international visitors.
🇺🇸 AI has been carrying the US economy… and if the bubble breaks, growth could sink to 1% within nine months.
The AI boom helped power jobs, wealth and a third quarter the Atlanta Fed tracks at 3.5% growth. Keith McCullough’s model has that sliding to 2%, then 1%, over the next six to nine months.
He also argues this market is running on far more leverage than in 1999, the last time a tech bubble burst.
If AI was the gas pedal for growth, a crash would hit jobs and paychecks right along with portfolios.

The Nasdaq set its record on Oct 6 and has slid about 6% since, so the real test is whether the giants follow the small fry down.

🚨🇮🇱 ISRAELI POLLS OPEN: NETANYAHU FIGHTS TO STAY IN POWER
Polls have opened across Israel, with ~7.3 MILLION eligible voters deciding on the 26th Knesset.
The latest surveys suggest a razor-thin contest between Netanyahu’s right-wing bloc and an opposition alliance led by former military chief Gadi Eisenkot.
Neither camp is expected to win the 61 seats required to govern outright, raising the prospect of another coalition stalemate.

All 58 California counties received letters from the U.S. Department of Justice identifying people it believes are noncitizens registered to vote. Preliminary reviews in Solano, Los Angeles and Mendocino counties found discrepancies, including canceled or inactive registrations and addresses outside county boundaries. Solano County officials are continuing to process mail ballots while awaiting further direction. The Trump administration is suing California over its request for citizenship verification, but a federal appeals court dismissed the administration’s appeal on procedural grounds. County reviews of voter records have not independently verified the citizenship status of the people identified.
