Scuffles broke out in Albania’s parliament on Thursday as opposition MPs confronted the ruling Socialist Party over the police response to student-led anti-government protests. Opposition Democratic Party lawmakers blocked the podium, threw papers and held up photos of injured protesters, demanding answers from Interior Minister Ervin Demo. Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi pressed ahead with the session, switching to voting cards after the electronic system failed. The protests, which began on 13 October, have put pressure on Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government over corruption allegations and police tactics.

Secretaries of State on Trump accusing China of election meddling


C-SPAN’s “Ceasefire” — Secretary of States Shenna Bellows (D-ME) and Brad Raffensperger (R-GA) discussed President Trump’s claims that China meddled in the 2020 election.

“There is absolutely no evidence that there was any manipulation of data in the 2020 election,” Secretary Bellows said. “And that’s grounded in disinformation.”

“What I did know is that the voter list we have at our state and every other state is probably available for campaigns,” Secretary Raffensperger said. “In Georgia for $400, you can buy a redacted voter list.”
