🇺🇸 Hurricane Isaias has slammed into Florida’s Panhandle as a Category 2 storm, unleashing 105 mph winds, flying debris and dangerous coastal flooding.
The hurricane made landfall near Destin overnight, with violent winds and torrential rain battering Navarre, Pensacola and surrounding communities.
Authorities ordered evacuations in vulnerable coastal areas as storm surge threatened to reach 6–9 feet, while fallen trees, damaged homes and downed power lines were reported.
Hundreds of thousands of customers across Florida and Alabama have lost electricity, with emergency crews struggling to respond while dangerous conditions persist.
