A federal judge has again ruled against the Pentagon in its dispute with The New York Times over media access. After the court previously struck down restrictions on Pentagon press credentials, the Defense Department imposed a new policy requiring reporters to be escorted at all times. The judge ruled the Times is likely to succeed on its First Amendment challenge and blocked enforcement of the escort requirement while the case proceeds.
