According to a joint statement from Pakistan and Qatar, the two principal mediators during this round of U.S.-Iran talks in Lucerne, Switzerland, the current round of negotiations has now ended. Per the release, both sides have committed to the formation of a high level committee that will coordinate “working groups focused on nuclear, sanctions, and a monitoring and dispute resolution group to ensure the effective implementation of the MoU, and on other matters.”
Additionally, a deconfliction group will be formed to coordinate the cessation of hostility between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah, a key point of contention between Iran, the U.S., and Israel.
