Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is once again counting on support from the UAE.

As reported by the UAE’s news agency WAM, the defense minister of Saudi Arabia held a meeting with the president of the United Arab Emirates to discuss strategies for enhancing their cooperation.

The United Arab Emirates has reportedly decided to re-engage in the Yemen conflict by reinstating financial support to some government forces battling the Iran-aligned Houthis.

In exchange, Saudi Arabia has pledged to offer air cover for the anti-Houthi force.

This recent cooperation pact marks a significant development, indicating that the longstanding divide between the UAE and Saudi Arabia regarding Yemen’s future may be beginning to mend.
