The plane was heading from Tel Aviv to Vienna yesterday with 57 people on board when the crew reported a bomb threat near Romania.

That forced a diversion to Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, where a fighter jet reportedly escorted the plane in for landing.

Everyone got off safely, and the aircraft was being searched. The airline said passengers would be put on another flight once the checks were done.

So far, there’s no confirmation that an actual bomb was on board.

🇺🇸 National Guardsman and suspect both SHOT on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

The shooting happened on 8th Street SE, in the Barracks Row area, with witnesses reporting multiple gunshots and a heavy police response.

Preliminary reports say the Guardsman was hit in the right leg, while the suspect was shot in the abdomen.

Neither man’s condition has been released yet.

It comes less than a year after 2 West Virginia Guardsmen were ambushed near the White House, leaving 1 of them dead.
