Israel is assessing the possibility of a new escalation of tensions around Iran amid reports of unusual military activity by Tehran. In recent days, Western sources have documented Iranian actions that are causing concern in Israel and other countries. This was reported by ” Globes”. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Meanwhile, Israeli leaders continue consultations with the US side on security issues and possible future developments.

According to Channel 12, Israel admits that the current situation could push Iran to take further drastic steps. Therefore, the Israeli side is assessing potential scenarios and the possible consequences of escalation.

According to media reports, if a military operation is planned, several key areas of Iranian infrastructure could be targeted. These include military facilities, the energy sector, missile systems, and Iran’s nuclear program.

The publication, however, does not indicate that a decision to strike has already been made. Rather, it is an assessment of possible scenarios amid rising tensions.

The political calendar further complicates the situation. According to the report, there are 12 days left until the Israeli elections, and 19 days until the US midterm elections. This factor could influence both sides’ calculations and their subsequent actions.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that Washington does not intend to use nuclear weapons against Iran, but allowed for the possibility of using the super-powerful conventional MOAB bomb, known as the “mother of all bombs.”

He spoke about this in an interview with Newsmax. According to the American leader, this is an extremely powerful weapon, the destructive power of which, he described, resembles that of a small nuclear weapon. Trump emphasized that the United States sees no need to use nuclear weapons against the Islamic Republic.

“I would not use nuclear weapons, we don’t need that,” the president said, recalling the significant nuclear potential of the United States.

MOAB stands for Massive Ordnance Air Blast. Also known as the “Mother of All Bombs,” it is a powerful non-nuclear munition designed to destroy large targets over a large area.

At the same time, Trump noted that he does not expect American ground troops to be sent to Iran.
