In a remarkable feat, Russia is nearing the completion of a significant new facility designed for the launch of jet-powered drones, with its construction rapidly progressing in a mere six weeks.

Reuters News Agency analyzed commercial imagery provided by Planet Labs and Airbus.

The site in what was an empty field in ‌Russia’s southwestern Rostov region on August 31 had become a complex facility the size of around 126 soccer pitches this week.

The ongoing construction aligns with a noticeable increase in the deployment of Russian jet-powered attack drones targeting Ukraine.

Ukraine is finding it difficult to intercept these rapid weapons capable of reaching speeds as high as 600 kilometers per hour.
