Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has delivered a forceful warning against weakening Western support for Ukraine, calling for tougher measures against Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
His remarks come amid controversy over Donald Trump’s diesel deal with Moscow and the US president’s criticism of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Tusk warned that reducing support for Ukraine would undermine European security and urged the United States and Europe to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
Trump’s announcement of an energy ceasefire has also drawn scrutiny after Ukraine reported fresh Russian strikes on its energy infrastructure.
