🇬🇷 Greece is a good example of how a smaller military can create a much bigger strategic effect by spending its defense money intelligently. Look at what Athens is doing with the reported move toward the AGM-158B JASSM-ER. A missile with a range exceeding 900 km, combined with Greece’s F-16V fleet and its incoming F-35s, gives Athens something I consider extremely valuable, stand off strike power. And this is where the strategy gets interesting. Greece doesn’t need to match Turkey aircraft for aircraft or missile for missile. You don’t always win by having the biggest arsenal. Sometimes you win by building an arsenal that forces your opponent to think twice about where it puts its most important military infrastructure.

Greece is quietly building exactly that kind of leverage.
