🔴 CJP PROTEST LIVE: AJINKYA SHINDE LEADS JANTAR MANTAR DEMONSTRATION
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is pressing ahead with its protest in New Delhi, with organisation in-charge Ajinkya Shinde stepping forward to lead the demonstration after party founder Abhijeet Dipke and senior leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained by Delhi Police at the airport.
The protest, scheduled for Saturday, October 10, has been called under the slogan “Save Democracy” and demands the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. CJP and other critics have raised concerns about the deletion of voters’ names and the potential impact on eligible voters. The Election Commission has maintained that entries can be challenged and corrected through the prescribed process.
CJP has also shared a pre-recorded video of Dipke, filmed on Friday night as he anticipated possible detention ahead of the demonstration. With its founder and senior leaders detained, attention has shifted to Ajinkya Shinde and whether the party can sustain its protest amid a major security operation in the capital.

Ratna Singh has alleged that she has been under detention since 9 AM amid the ongoing CJP protest in Delhi. Speaking about the police action, Singh claimed that authorities had been tracking the protesters’ movements since the previous night and said an application had been moved seeking FIRs over what she described as illegal detentions.
Singh maintained that the protest would continue despite the restrictions, saying new leaders would take up the movement. On the denial of permission, she argued that protesters did not need approval from the authorities they were protesting against. She also questioned why the BJP was criticising a movement centred on demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
