IRAN-RUSSIA WAR UPDATE LIVE: Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged Moscow’s support to help resolve the ongoing Middle East war during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Turkmenistan on October 8.
The meeting comes as Iran looks to strengthen diplomatic and strategic ties with Russia amid its conflict with the United States and Israel. Putin said Russia was ready to do everything within its power to help resolve the crisis, while highlighting the development of relations between Moscow and Tehran.
The two leaders also discussed expanding bilateral cooperation across key sectors, including energy, agriculture, transportation and trade. Both countries face Western sanctions and have deepened their economic and diplomatic relationship in recent years.
