Saudi Airports Under Attack: WATCH- Black Smoke Engulf Riyadh After Massive Houthi Missile Strike

Thick black smoke and flames were seen rising from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 8 after Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement claimed it had attacked the airport with a ballistic missile. Video footage showed a column of smoke rising from the airport premises, along with a white flash.

Flights to Riyadh have been disrupted after Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi rebels claimed a ballistic missile attack on King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia. Several explosions were reported in Riyadh, while Saudi-led coalition forces said they intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched towards the capital and another targeting Khamis Mushait. Amid escalating security concerns, Air India and Akasa Air cancelled flights to and from Riyadh until October 10, while IndiGo suspended services until October 9. Lufthansa Group has suspended Riyadh flights through October 16. Air India also confirmed that a Delhi-Riyadh flight returned to the Indian capital. The developments come as the Houthis issue fresh warnings to international airlines operating in Saudi airspace amid intensifying regional tensions.
