Josefine Christensen, lead analyst at Denmark’s PET, said in Copenhagen on Oct. 7 that Russia has moved from planning to sabotage against Danish firms supplying Ukraine. In the spring it was mostly paper. In early summer it started to be carried out.
She says the broad attacks did not deter Nato, and that the target is now what shows at the front: weapons production. Moscow keeps political control. The boldness sits with the people sent. Recruitment is on Telegram, often among the homeless and addicts. The first job is a photo. The next is the act. If one fails, another is sent.
The Russian embassy in Copenhagen rejects it. No factory names have been published. A Russian defense ministry list in April pointed to European drone makers as possible targets.
The money is small. The factory is large. PET says the calculation has been made.
