Hegseth marked the decision with a single word:
“Justice.”
But nobody should expect it soon.
Hasan still hasn’t exhausted his appeals or gone through federal habeas review, and when Bush approved Pvt. Ronald Gray’s execution in 2008, Gray ended up STILL sitting on death row 18 years later.
So will the families who’ve waited 17 years actually see this carried out?
The law sets a 60 to 150 day window, but civilian courts can stall it for years, and unless those appeals move, this approval could end up in the same drawer as Gray’s.
