Hamas-led gunmen killed around 1,200 people and kidnapped 251 that day, the deadliest single day in Israel’s history.
Survivors and bereaved families gathered at dawn at Kibbutz Re’im, the site of the Nova music festival, where 378 people were murdered and 44 taken hostage to Gaza.
A nationwide minute of silence is set for noon, with the main ceremony led by survivors and families tonight in Tel Aviv.
