🇸🇦🇾🇪 Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces are sending TENS OF THOUSANDS OF TROOPS to take back territory from the Houthis.
Yemen’s presidential council head made the announcement of a counteroffensive today.
“We have exhausted all opportunities for deescalation with the Houthi militia.”
Part of the operation is aimed at returning the Bab al-Mandab Strait to Saudi control.
The strategic waterway connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden, which is critical for international shipping and Saudi oil exports.
When the Iranian-backed Houthis seized Yemen’s Red Sea coast near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, they gained leverage over the U.S., its Gulf allies, and the global economy.
The White House has resisted Saudi pleas for military intervention, but is providing “other support.”
For a change, Trump is watching from the sidelines…

The US Coast Guard has discovered a debris field off the coast of Nantucket from a missing air ambulance carrying six people that vanished over the Atlantic while flying from Bermuda to Boston. Air traffic control audio and tracking data indicate the pilot reported electrical problems and declared an emergency while descending sharply ahead of a looming storm. Search-and-rescue operations remain ongoing following the notification of next of kin.
