U.S. President Donald Trump has signalled that a decision could be imminent on whether Washington will resume large-scale military operations against Iran, saying Tehran faces the “easy way or the hard way”.
Trump also said Iran was “virtually giving up” any plans to acquire a nuclear weapon. His remarks came after senior U.S. national security officials reportedly met at Camp David on Friday, according to Axios, to discuss U.S. options involving Iran and the Saudi-Houthi conflict in Yemen.
Meanwhile, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the strait would not reopen until Iran’s conditions are met, while accusing the U.S. of no longer being able to “stall for time”, according to NourNews.
