Lindsay Clancy’s defence has shifted its strategy as her case moves towards a possible retrial over the deaths of her three children in 2023. Her lawyers now argue that prosecutors failed to provide enough evidence to prove she killed them, after previously focusing on her mental state.
A judge declared a mistrial on 4 September after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Prosecutors dispute the new defence argument, while the judge is expected to discuss a possible retrial date with both sides on 2 November.
