🇺🇸 Sunny Hostin says she was the ONE juror who wouldn’t vote to convict a man of murder… and then she described what he did. “Once he killed her, he chopped up her body parts, yes, boiled her body parts … and fed her body parts to the unhoused.” Her reasoning? She says the prosecution still hadn’t proven the intent required for the murder charge; a reminder that jurors are supposed to judge what prosecutors can prove, not simply how horrific the facts are. Could YOU have been the holdout? Writer: Val

Trump greets China’s president on tarmac with flyover to kick off 3 day US visit

President Donald Trump greeted Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan, at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday evening as the Chinese leader begins a three-day official state visit to Washington.

A 100-foot long red carpet was unfurled at the bottom of the staircase placed at the door of Xi’s plane.

A 21-person honor guard was arrayed on the sides of the carpet, as Trump and First Lady Melania Trump stood near a staircase on the side of the plane, where they shook hands with Xi and Liyuan.

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 American forces are still shuffling around the Middle East, and that tells you more than any press conference. Hours of meetings in New York produced nothing, because Washington won’t offer a single concession or admit the leverage it once had is gone. Ana Kasparian expects Israeli interests to blow up whatever deal eventually takes shape, the way they’ve blown up every version so far. Which raises the question nobody in that room wants to answer: who exactly is running American foreign policy here? @AnaKasparian

Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal)🇮🇱 🇵🇸 Every Palestinian response gets turned into the excuse for the next round of annexation.

Ana Kasparian watches the same loop run on cable news and in Congress, where anyone who fights back becomes the proof that more land has to be taken and more buildings have to come down.

American money and American weapons keep the whole cycle funded, which leaves people with no path to a courtroom, no path to a negotiation, and no path out.

Call that what you want. It isn’t a peace process.

More Key Takeaways:
The Houthis are attempting to deter the United States and other Saudi partners from any external response that would support Saudi Arabia against the Houthis.

ISW-CTP is considering five possible Houthi military courses of action (COAs) that the group could take against the United States or other Saudi partners if these parties increase their military support for Saudi Arabia against the Houthis, including by providing defensive air support or conducting airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen. In a most likely COA (MLCOA), the Houthis expand their naval blockade against Saudi vessels to include vessels affiliated with the United States or other Saudi partners.

The Shia Coordination Framework, which includes multiple Iranian-backed Iraqi actors, has reportedly approved some details of an unfinalized Iraqi government plan to disarm Iranian-backed Iraqi militias by June 2027. The Iraqi militias will almost certainly exploit certain provisions of Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al Zaydi’s plan to retain their arms.

Iraq’s most prominent militias continue to condition disarmament on demands that the federal government is highly unlikely to meet, which indicates that they have no intention to disarm. (1/2)
