President Trump rejected a seven-day peace proposal framework from Iran that would have ended with the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal required the U.S. to meet certain demands, which the president turned down, stating that Iran has backed themselves into a corner due to financial pressure. Trump explained that Iran wants to immediately open the strait because they are dying without money coming in.
Fresh off a three-day state visit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Trump stated that his counterpart agreed Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. The U.S. and China also agreed on a $30 billion tariff reduction deal, with White House details scheduled for release at the start of next week. During the state visit, talks touched on artificial intelligence, which Trump mentioned both leaders now want referred to as S.I. or super intelligence, though he did not address whether alleged Chinese aid to Iran was discussed.
Additionally, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy requested at the UN General Assembly that President Trump urge President Xi to help end Russia’s war on Ukraine. Speaking on his conversation with Zelenskyy, Trump noted that hopefully in the not too distant future, maybe before the heavy winter, a deal will be made. President Trump is expected to round out the weekend by traveling to Chicago for the President’s Cup.

🇺🇸 A lab-made opioid is being sold as natural kratom at gas stations across America
Kratom leaf has been used for centuries in Southeast Asia for energy and pain, and it naturally holds only trace amounts of a compound called 7-OH.
The gummies and shots on gas station counters concentrate that compound in a lab, and the FDA says it can hit up to 13 TIMES HARDER than morphine.
The warning from drug czar Sara Carter comes after two Ole Miss students died in deaths believed to be linked to kratom.
The DEA already moved to schedule 7-OH alongside heroin while leaving the leaf alone, which is exactly the right line.
Until that ban is enforced, a teenager can still grab a SERIOUS opioid next to the beef jerky and Red Bull without showing ID.
