🇺🇸🇮🇷 CENTCOM footage shows a U.S. airstrike on an Iranian vehicle at approx. 📍29.702572, 52.534758, north of Shiraz in Fars province. The vehicle appears to be a specialized IRGC-linked support asset, possibly tied to command/communications, electronic warfare or EO/IR targeting support, but the exact system is not confirmed. If linked to the IRGC Navy, the location suggests a land-based support node rather than a coastal launch platform.

Airbus chases Boeing – the first A350F flight is close When a freighter “flies” 13 times without leaving the ground, you know it’s close. And when Airbus starts chasing Boeing for realthe industry pays attention. The A350F rolled out of the hangar in Toulouse in August. Now its maiden flight is approaching, with French media pointing to Tuesday, September 29 as the target. The aircraft isn’t just a modified A350 – it’s a new type: new fuselage, new aerodynamics, a massive cargo door. Test chief Laurent Bussiere calls it something between the A350‑900 and A350‑1000, requiring a dedicated test program of around 400 flight hours with two aircraft: MSN700 and MSN701. When a freighter “flies” 13 times without leaving the ground, you know it’s close.

Before the wheels even leave the runway, Airbus ran a Virtual First Flight: 13 sessions of five hours each, connected to real flight electronics.
The simulator matches the aircraft to about 90 percent – the rest must be proven in the air, especially the freighter’s aerodynamics. EASA is monitoring the tests.
Airbus pitches the numbers:
111 tons of payload
8,700 km range

Rolls‑Royce Trent XWB‑97
Up to 20% lower fuel burn than older freighters Over 100 firm orders – largest customer Atlas Air with 20 aircraft.
Original plan: entry into service in 2025. Now: first delivery in the second half of 2027. And some in the industry doubt that 15 months is enough if testing gets messy.
So which are you – the one who watches it lift off, or the one who sees cargo aviation as invisible infrastructure?

On this day in 1066, England’s King Harold II slaughters 6,000 Vikings (along with his own outlaw brother) at the Battle of Stamford Bridge. Days later he’ll quick march his army 250 miles south to intercept William of Normandy near Hastings. Spoiler alert: It doesn’t go well.
