We describe the case of a patient on antidepressant treatment who developed tardive persistent focal myoclonic seizures with and without an altered level of consciousness after various ECT sessions. A 77-year-old woman with vascular risk factors and a history of ischaemic heart disease had major depressive disorder resistant to antidepressants.
