“The blockade continues to hold 100%. Nothing is getting through our blockade. No oil, no income, no nothing,” said US President Donald Trump, discussing ongoing negotiations with Iran. Trump stated that the blockade has proven stronger than bombing, noting that Iran’s economy is suffering. He predicted that a deal will be signed within two or three days, which will prevent the country from acquiring nuclear weapons. He added that the strait would open immediately upon the signing of this agreement. Trump also mentioned a recent conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that both sides have agreed through him to halt their conflict. During the interaction, Trump highlighted his administration’s domestic achievements, citing record job numbers and 73 new highs on the stock exchanges during his one and a half years in office. He emphasized that $18 trillion is being invested in the United States, which he described as an unprecedented figure in world history. Trump also discussed efforts to beautify Washington, D.C., noting reductions in crime and the restoration of 22 fountains and monuments ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum praised these efforts, stating that Trump has provided a blueprint for American mayors to address urban issues like crime, graffiti, and homelessness. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin spoke about domestic energy policies, mentioning plans to build a new constitution pipeline to deliver natural gas from Pennsylvania to New England. Trump criticized the governor of New York for holding up the project and breaking a prior deal regarding the pipeline’s construction. Zeldin also shared his predictions for the ongoing NBA Finals, backing the New York Knicks to win the series in five games. When asked by a reporter about ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith potentially running for president, Trump remarked that running for the office requires a high IQ and a certain aptitude, expressing doubt that Smith possesses those qualities. Trump also addressed a report about an army helicopter going down in the strait, confirming that the pilots are fine and a report will be issued tomorrow. Furthermore, Trump criticized federal judges for striking down a $100,000 fee for the H-1B visa, stating they are hurting the country.
