The early vote is where the numbers get real, with a pollster reporting turnout jumps among Black, Hispanic and Asian American voters who swung toward Trump in 2024, and the immigration crackdown reaching past “the worst of the worst” into Hispanic families, churches and workplaces.

Charlie Sykes, former conservative radio host now at To The Contrary, covered the 1980 collapse as a young reporter and says this could be a year like that:

Democrats could land 53 or 54 Senate seats, but Charlie says they can still blow Minnesota, Michigan and the Collins race with candidates who ran left of the mood, so the night to watch is Florida’s governor’s race, where a David Jolly win turns a wave into a tsunami.
