🇺🇸 Abdul El-Sayed is projected to have WON Michigan’s Senate race, defeating Republican Mike Rogers and becoming the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Senate. His victory comes as election results show a nationwide swing toward Democrats, averaging 16 percentage points in counties with nearly complete counts. Even Republican strongholds Tennessee and Kentucky reportedly shifted 18 points toward Democrats. Meanwhile, Mississippi could elect its first Democratic senator since 1982, with Scott Colom locked in an extremely close race against Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith. El-Sayed also overcame a last-minute endorsement of Rogers by his former Democratic primary rival, Haley Stevens. The results
