Nuclear weapons have only been used once, on Japan.
Since then the story of “that country has a nuke” has shaped every major standoff, from Israel’s unacknowledged arsenal to the years of Trump and Netanyahu warning that Iran is close to one.
Now Tucker Carlson claims the U.S. could strike Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain with a nuclear weapon within days under pressure from Netanyahu.
No evidence has been shown, and Trump has publicly ruled it out before.
The constant talk of nukes makes any de-escalation harder.
After the midterm losses, even if the plan never existed, the narrative will be that Democrats stopped it by winning.
