BIG | 🇺🇦🤖‼️‼️ Robots are replacing soldiers in the most dangerous frontline roles. Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps has reduced direct personnel involvement by roughly one-third through the use of unmanned ground vehicles, according to Deputy Commander Maksym Zhorin.
Zhorin believes ground drones could eventually perform around 70% of the tasks currently carried out by frontline infantry. He stressed, however, that soldiers cannot yet be removed from the battlefield entirely, as human operators remain necessary for critical decisions and maintaining control of positions.
The shift could fundamentally change how Ukraine uses its limited manpower. Moving the most dangerous and repetitive frontline tasks to unmanned systems could reduce soldiers’ exposure while allowing personnel to concentrate on roles where human judgment and direct control remain essential.
