Crude exports from Persian Gulf producers excluding Iran have reportedly recovered to roughly 80% of pre-war levels, suggesting the flow of raw oil has rebounded substantially.
But refined products haven’t kept pace.
Exports of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel remain at only around 50% of pre-war levels.
That distinction matters: restoring crude shipments doesn’t automatically restore refinery output, fuel inventories or the supply of products consumers and businesses actually use.
The crude arteries are reopening, but he fuel pipeline is still badly clogged… and that’s where the pressure remains.

Residents in Nevada and Arizona are watching Lake Mead and Lake Powell dry up to critical levels.
Meanwhile, New Mexico has received so much rain in the last 48 hours that entire towns are being evacuated. Hurricane Polo is slowly making its way across the Southwest, dropping up to 8 inches of rain in some areas.
Another 4 to 8 inches is forecast for the state in the coming days. Stay safe out there, and turn around, don’t drown!
