🚨🇺🇸 Two Navy aviators ejected during a landing on the USS Eisenhower off Virginia, and 4 sailors on deck were hurt

It happened earlier this evening, just hours after the carrier left Norfolk for flight qualifications following repairs that wrapped up in July.

Both aviators from Carrier Air Wing 3 were pulled out and returned to the ship, and one of the injured sailors went to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Navy hasn’t said which two-seat jet went down, and the cause is under investigation.

Everyone came home, which is what matters tonight, but a fleet stretched thin by seven months of war with Iran can’t afford to lose a single jet on a training run off its own coast.
