The Ukrainian Defense Forces have made new advances along the front line between Borova and Slovyansk, although they have not yet been officially announced. The threat to Slovyansk from Russia has been virtually eliminated. This was reported by authoritative OSINT observer Clement Molin. According to him, Ukrainian troops are successfully advancing along a front stretching approximately 90 kilometers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are maintaining secrecy to avoid alerting the enemy. “In this direction, Ukrainian forces are close to securing Sloviansk—one of the two key cities in Donbas—by pushing back the front line. The city of Liman, which is the northern ‘fortress’ of Donbas, is now well-defended and provided with everything necessary… Most of the liberated territories have not yet been officially declared by the Ukrainian side—we’ll have to wait a little longer,” Molin said. He stated that the Russian “West” group suffered a serious defeat in the war against Ukraine in 2026. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are now successfully cutting off the occupiers’ penetrations. “The limited offensive actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2026 have already allowed them to liberate twice as much territory as during the counteroffensive of 2023,” the OSINT expert stated.
It was also reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had stabilized the situation in Konstantinovka and cleared out Russians from the city. RBC-Ukraine, citing sources , reports that Ukrainian forces have managed to stabilize the situation in Kostiantynivka. This is a major change on one of the most tense sections of the front: at the beginning of the summer, it was believed that the city could be completely captured by Russia, but this did not happen. According to the publication’s sources, the situation in Kostiantynivka itself was stabilized about a month ago. Ukrainian troops cleared out some of the Russian groups that had managed to infiltrate the city. According to RBC-Ukraine sources, General Nikolyuk played a significant role in stabilizing the situation. Russia has failed to quickly capture Kostiantynivka, although just a few months ago this scenario seemed the most likely. This doesn’t mean the danger to the city has disappeared. The Russian army has not abandoned its offensive in this direction. After protracted frontal attacks, the enemy is increasingly attempting to outflank Ukrainian positions. “It’s unlikely the Russians will approach Slavyansk by the end of the year; perhaps Kramatorsk, but the city is so fortified that our troops could remain there for months. The biggest threat by the end of this year currently appears to be Konstantinovka,” one of the publication’s sources said.
