On Sept. 13, a Russian drone struck the locomotive of a Kyiv–Warsaw passenger train just 2 kilometers from the Polish border. The attack near Yahodyn caused no casualties, but it drew attention to one of Ukraine’s most important links to the outside world amid the pressures of Russia’s war — the railway.
Ukrainian state railway company Ukrzaliznytsia said its monitoring team detected the threat early enough to evacuate the crew before the strike on the locomotive.

Larry Wilkerson has been told the list runs to 60,000, somewhere near $2.8 billion, mixed types, some guided and some not, all with the same blast.
He flew helicopters in Vietnam and once had one of those bombs land a hundred meters from his aircraft, close enough that the shockwave shoved the helicopter a hundred meters and he couldn’t hold the controls.
He thinks the order is meant for Iran.
If what he’s heard about the aircraft shortage is right, the arithmetic points one of two ways.
Washington ships Israel more planes, or America joins the campaign.
He also hears that the two sides still aren’t in the same room, only emissaries walking between them, and you don’t build trust by bombing in the middle of a negotiation.
His forecast is that Washington declares victory and leaves.
The bombs will still be there when Israel decides.
