Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian criticised Western governments during a meeting with European Council President Antonio Costa in New York, saying their intervention has affected global security. Pezeshkian also criticised Europe’s approach to Iran’s nuclear programme and the reinstatement of UN sanctions. Costa urged Tehran to resume cooperation with the IAEA, stop attacks on neighbouring countries and restore freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

🇬🇧🇮🇷 Britain has warned Iran that it will “not tolerate intimidation, threats or hostile activity on UK soil” from Iranian-linked groups.
Foreign Sec. Ed Miliband delivered the warning directly to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during talks in New York, where they also discussed the Iran war and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
The warning follows Britain’s National Cyber Security Centre accusing Iranian state-linked hackers of targeting dissidents, activists, journalists and other critics of Tehran in Britain, using spyware and tailored phishing attacks to steal emails and other sensitive information.
