President Donald Trump will welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping to the White House on Thursday for a high-profile state visit expected to center on trade, artificial intelligence, Taiwan and the war in Iran.

Trump and Xi are scheduled to deliver public remarks during a White House arrival ceremony before holding a private Oval Office meeting and an expanded bilateral session. They are expected to speak again before Thursday night’s state dinner.

THIS IS MASSIVE: Ukraine pulls the trigger on Operation Vivaldi, and Putin’s generals are lying to Moscow about it. On 1 September, Putin claimed Sviatohirsk had fallen, until Third Army Corps commander Andriy Biletskyi stood in the centre of the town and told the Kremlin to take off its clown noses. Ukraine’s secret operation has cleared the Russian pockets at Yarova, Nove, Korovii Yar and Oleksandrivka, liberated around 200 km² near Lyman, and crossed the Zherebets River, leaving Russian troops near Shandryholove trapped and cut off, supplied only by air. Ukraine’s killer drones hit Russian fuel depots and supply routes so hard that Putin’s fuel supply was pushed all the way back to Voronezh. At the UN, Zelensky revealed 248,964 Russian losses in eight months and quoted Trump’s post that Russia’s refineries have been blown up and its oil industry is running on fumes, while Ukrainian drones struck the plant Putin thought untouchable at Novy Urengoy, 3,000 km away.

Ukraine also pulled off two world firsts that changed how this war is fought: a Ukrainian sea drone armed with a Norwegian Kongsberg gun sank a Russian sea drone in the Black Sea, and a fibre-optic FPV drone brought down a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter that its sensors could not detect. As Russian elites flee, moving their families and money abroad, Putin turns to 50,000 North Korean troops, while Kadyrov’s clan seizes Danone and a Russian gold mine. France massively boosts Ukraine’s defences with new SAMP/T NG batteries, Ground Fire 300 radars and Aster 30 missiles built inside Ukraine. NATO is reinforcing its eastern flank with US troops to Lithuania, a planned Fort Trump in Poland and a €500 million drone shield for the Baltics.

Hours after a federal judge ruled early Thursday that the Trump administration must immediately restore access to multiple media outlets barred from the White House, three news organizations are requesting an emergency hearing this morning to compel the Trump administration to allow entry into the White House. In a ruling from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Judge Timothy Kelly wrote that the administration likely “violated their constitutional due process rights, and ‘enforcement of an unconstitutional law is always contrary to the public interest,'” and ordered it to restore press credentials for CNN, MS Now and Politico. Kelly said the temporary restraining order will last 14 days.
