In January–June 2026, Azerbaijan exported just over 461,317 tons of crude oil to Romania, valued at more than $247.8 million, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
Compared to the same period in 2025, the export volume dropped by 32.7%, and the value fell by 34.4%.
Romania accounted for 4.6% of Azerbaijan’s total oil exports in the first half of 2026.
According to the customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported approximately 10.125 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous rocks, valued at just over $6.231 billion in the first six months of 2026.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $24.661 billion during the January–June period, representing a 1.1% increase year-on-year. Of this, $16.320 billion came from exports and $8.341 billion from imports. Year‑on‑year, exports rose by 26.7%, while imports dropped by 27.6%.

A Roskomnadzor employee was killed in an attack on a tourist base in the Russian-occupied Kyrylivka, Zaporizhzhia region.
Mikhail Ivanov, head of the occupied Zaporizhzhia branch of the Main Radio Frequency Center, died along with his two children. His wife was seriously injured.
Ivanov had served over 20 years in the Russian military and took part in combat against Ukraine.
Occupation authorities reported 12 dead and 19 wounded. Ukraine has not commented.
