Tropical Storm Bertha has formed in the Gulf of America.

Bertha is the second named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season.

The storm is forecast to move toward Texas this week.

Texas was also impacted by this season’s first named storm. Arthur brought heavy rain and gusty winds to the Texas Gulf Coast in mid-June.

A tropical storm watch is posted from the Florida Gulf Coast to the mouth of the Mississippi River for the soon-to-be ‘tropical storm Bertha.’

The Pentagon identified two of three U.S. service members killed since Friday in the war with Iran.

Two American soldiers were killed in attacks involving the U.S.-Iran conflict over the weekend. In response to those attacks, President Trump is issuing a new threat to Iran. For every American soldier killed, Iran will play many times over. As the fighting continues, it’s unclear if the two sides will reach an agreement over the Strait of Hormuz.
