Wildfire smoke is thick this morning, reducing visibility similar to fog. Air quality is in the very unhealthy to hazardous categories. Stay indoors if you can. If you’re driving, put on your car’s “recirculate air” button – it’s the one with a car and a looping arrow. Smoke will gradually lessen this afternoon.

A handful of showers and storms is possible later today, coming in from the west. Highs reach the upper 80s to around 90°.

Scattered thunderstorms return tomorrow. Some may pop up in the afternoon, but a more organized line of storms arrives going into the evening. This could produce gusty winds and locally heavy rain. The main time looks to be around 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday will also be very humid with highs in the upper 80s and feels-like readings in the 90s.

Sunday brings a nice break, and much nicer weather arrives in the second half of next week.
