The United States hit roughly 170 targets in Iran this week, including rail bridges that the United States says were used to transport weapons. As the American strikes finished, another round attacked southern Iran, though the source of that attack remains a mystery.
The United States says American forces did not do it, while one Iranian lawmaker pointed suspicion at the United Arab Emirates. The mysterious bombardment occurred after Iran once again fired missiles at its neighbors.
On Friday, July 10, Qatari negotiators arrived in Iran supported by the United States. Their goal is de-escalation and a return to talks. President Trump posted that Iran requested more talks, but the United States has stated to them in no uncertain terms that the ceasefire is over.
