The US is providing intelligence to help Ukraine plan and execute drone attacks deep inside Russia, including routes to dodge air defenses.

At the same time, Russian negotiators are pushing hard for big Ukrainian concessions especially on territory, and US-brokered peace talks are unlikely to restart before late summer or even February 2027. Both sides remain far apart.

THE MYTH OF RUSSIAN “SOVEREIGNTY”: FROM WESTERN DEPENDENCY TO CHINESE VASSAL STATE! 🇷🇺🇨🇳📉

The Kremlin is burning through astronomical amounts of cash to sustain its war machine. At the same time, Russian state media regularly admits that the country is falling drastically behind technologically. The chasm between Russia and the West is widening by the day.

Putin’s primary defense for this systemic regression? “Well, at least we have become sovereign.”

BBC’s veteran Moscow correspondent, Steve Rosenberg, perfectly dismantled this desperate Kremlin paradox:

🔄 A Meaningless Achievement: Putin claims that Russia’s greatest triumph over the past four years is achieving “sovereignty.” But as Rosenberg sharply notes: Russia was already a fully independent, sovereign state before this ruinous war began.

🎭 The Illusion of Broken Chains: The regime pushes the narrative that Russia was far too dependent on the West, got “tricked,” and has now finally broken its chains. The structural data tells a completely different story.

🇨🇳 Total Dependency on the East: The economic links to the West are undeniably severed. However, Russia hasn’t become free—it has simply become entirely subservient to the East. Beijing now dictates the terms of Russian energy exports and tech dependencies.

My take:This is textbook geopolitical copism. When your own state television is forced to report that your technology is stagnating, and your domestic economy is facing an inevitable transportation paralysis, your only remaining option is to rebrand isolation as “independence.”
Russia hasn’t achieved sovereignty; it has successfully converted itself into a resource colony for China. They traded mutual trade with the West for a one-way dependency on Beijing. As Kyiv accelerates its deep operations and Europe secures the Eastern Flank with autonomous steel, Putin is left ruling a nation that has actively bartered away its technological future. The mathematics of attrition remain absolute! ⏳🦅
