PM Netanyahu: “I had an interview, and the interviewer asked: Prime Minister, can you tell us what your trial is about?
I explained, and a flood of reactions came in like, “Wow, we had no idea.” So I decided to tell you too. I’m accused of receiving positive media coverage from a second-rate website. In 250 years of liberal democracy, no one has ever been charged with a crime for positive media coverage.
This so-called bribe it’s been shown in court that I had negative and hostile coverage. Two years ago, the judges said to drop the bribery charge, but the prosecutors refused because it’s a political trial.
So what’s left? 29 years ago, my son got a Bugs Bunny doll and some cigarettes from a friend.
