France’s Election Sees Leftist Victory with New Popular Front, Potential for Hung Parliament as Le Pen Places Third

In a stunning turn of events, France’s leftist New Popular Front (NFP) has emerged victorious in the recent parliamentary elections, securing the largest number of seats. However, the coalition fell short of an absolute majority, leading to a likely hung parliament.

The NFP, an alliance of Socialists, Ecologists, Communists, and France Unbowed (LFI), managed to outpace President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist camp and the far-right National Rally (RN), which trailed in third place.
