The price of Azerbaijan’s Azeri Light crude rose by $0.03, or 0.03%, to $106.84 per barrel on the global market, a source in the oil market told Report.
Brent crude futures for January delivery settled at $95.98 per barrel.
At Türkiye’s Ceyhan port, Azeri Light crude on a Free on Board (FOB) basis gained $1.7, or 1.7%, to $101.6 per barrel.
Azerbaijan’s 2026 state budget is based on an average oil price of $65 per barrel.
Azeri Light recorded its lowest price of $15.81 per barrel on April 21, 2020, and its highest price of $149.66 in July 2008.
Azeri Light is produced under the development agreement for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields, in which the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) holds a 35.3% stake.
US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that he says will prevent future presidents from making certain changes to the White House Oval Office, the BBC reports.
Trump, a former real estate mogul, has drastically altered the look of the president’s official office during his second term, most notably with adding many gold features.
“We’re making it a national monument, and it will not be allowed to be touched by anybody, destroyed, ripped down by stupid people, in order to build something in a slightly different shape,” Trump told reporters on Thursday.
The order comes months after Trump tore down the entirety of the White House East Wing in a project that has faced legal challenges.
The project was also approved by the US Congress. Construction has continued, with plans to turn the space into a new ballroom.

France has opened a probe into a November 2 cyberattack on blood plasma storage.
Hackers breached Coolworld, a third-party refrigeration supplier for the French Blood Establishment (EFS). Freezers at three regional EFS sites were pushed from about minus 30°C toward 110°C.
On-site alarms flagged the spikes immediately. Staff moved the plasma to alternative storage. No blood products were lost.
ANSSI and the Ministry of Health are investigating.

Both envoys were at the White House today for the same reason, to thank Melania for brokering the Oleshky ceasefire that let nearly 800 trapped civilians out of a Russian-held town; the Ukrainians gave her the Order of Princess Olha, Dmitriev handed over a child’s drawing.
Then only Dmitriev was taken in to see the president and Ukraine was left in the hallway…
Dmitriev came out and said this:
“It’s going to involve more than Ukraine… it might involve all of Europe.
It’s going to be a big, beautiful agreement, and everyone’s going to be thrilled.”
A grand bargain over Europe’s security is what Putin has wanted since the Cold War ended, and Kushner was in Brussels the same day discussing exactly that with NATO.
Kyiv’s answer came before dawn: drones on the Ryazan refinery, one of three that fuel Moscow, with intelligence claiming 15 of Russia’s 38 big refineries knocked out since September.
A Ukrainian committee chairman explained why they won’t stop:
“Putin will only negotiate when he is in pain.”

Russia has renewed its travel advisory for citizens amid fears of fresh escalation in tensions surrounding Iran. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has urged Russians to temporarily avoid travelling to Iran until the situation stabilises. She also advised Russian nationals already in the country to remain vigilant, avoid crowded places, mass gatherings and areas near military and government facilities. Moscow has urged its citizens to follow official information from Tehran and strictly obey all instructions issued by Iranian authorities.
