JUST UN: Türkiye has tested a new version of its Bayraktar TB2 drone, capable of carrying and launching up to 16 FPV drones. The FPV drones have an average operational range of 15 km on the battlefield. The TB2 will not just serve as a launch platform. It is also designed to act as an airborne communications relay. Türkiye appears to have developed this concept after seeing how effective FPV drones have become in modern war, including the Russia-Ukraine war, Hezbollah’s operations against Israel and Ansarallah’s strikes against Saudi-backed forces in Yemen.
