A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck the border area between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
According to Report, the 24.kg news portal said, citing data from the Institute of Seismology of Kyrgyzstan, that the epicenter was located in a border area in the south of the country.
Another earthquake, measuring magnitude 3.5, was recorded in Kyrgyzstan at 03:44 (01:44 Baku time). At 04:50 (02:50 Baku time), a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the border with Tajikistan. Its epicenter was located 127 kilometres southeast of Osh.
Tremors were also felt in Uzbekistan.
